Edvard has more than 15 years experience working as a Senior Consultant at the Dep of Oncology, Sahlgrenska University Hospital and holds a PhD in Medicine.

He has held several leading positions at the department and is currently positioned as Centre Director, Sahlgrenska Comprehensive Cancer Centre combined with the role as Chief Medical Officer at Clinical Trials Unit, Dep of Oncology, Sahlgrenska.

Coordination of cancer research and cooperating with external actors to increase the number of cancer patients included in clinical trials, are some of the most prioritized tasks for the centre.
