Carsten is heading the government’s life science unit at the Ministry of Industry, Business and Financial Affairs.

The unit coordinates government initiatives in relation to the life science sector, engages with industry stakeholders and works to ensure strong and competitive framework conditions for the Danish life science industry.

Carsten holds master’s degrees in political science and European politics and has been heading the unit since 2019.
